Home workouts can be so…. boring. But when you do the same thing day in and day out you’re going to get bored. Some people have a harder time focusing on physical tasks without some kind of mental stimulation to make it more interesting. Or at least that’s the excuse I tell myself when I get bored doing workouts in my home or at the gym. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to make working out more interesting.
What I do to make working out more entertaining so I don’t give up, is to go thru my collection of Cd’s and find the best Jazz and R&B to work out by. Not only do I enjoy the music somehow the workout time goes by quickly because the beat of the music is so good, I just have to hear more.
One of my all time favorite is Montell Jordans “This Is How We Do It” . No matter what you are doing, running on the tread Mill or riding the exercise Bike, this song will get you motivated to keep pushing yourself and before you know it, the work out is over. So, find yourself a couple of CD’s, long version and exercise till you sweat. The long versions are usually 9 to 12 minutes. You do the count, an hour can go by real fast.
LINE DANCING
A fun way to loose weight and mentally stimulating is Line Dancing. Make up healthy snacks, invite a few friends over and watch those pounds melt away. My all time favorite is “Terminal Reaction”. You can really have fun with this line dance. You can You Tube video’s of your favorite line dance. You can actually do it alone but you won’t feel alone. Try it without changing your diet, I have found line dancing is the best way to lose the fat and pounds. I think it’s the safest and healthiest way to lose weight slowly. I would recommend line dancing to anyone; not only will you lose the weight slowly, it will also strengthen your brain as you concentrate to keep up with the steps. Line dancing is the best kept secret “aerobic weapon ”,you can never get bored and it’s fun.
