Rudolph Isley, a mellifluous harmony singer and co-writer of many of the Isley Brothers’ greatest hits, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 84.
Isley spent three decades with the Isley Brothers, harmonizing with his brother O’Kelly in support of Ronald Isley’s lead vocals. He also sang lead on some notable tracks, such as “I’ve Got to Get Myself Together” and “It’s a Disco Night (Rock Don’t Stop).”
Rudolph Isley’s fashion was a reflection of his personality: bold, confident, and always ahead of the curve. His fashion sense was as unique as his voice. He was never afraid to experiment with different styles, and his hats, furs, and bejeweled cane had become his trademark.
Isley was a talented singer and songwriter, and he helped the Isley Brothers become one of the most successful vocal groups of all time. He will be missed by his fans and loved ones. Thank you Rudolph Isley for sharing your talent with the world!
